Quick start

  1. Sign up at engineer9.ai

    Free for teams up to 50 members. No credit card required.

  2. Add engineer9 to your Slack

    Authorize the engineer9 Slack app for your workspace. engineer9 starts with access to nothing. You choose what it can see in the next step.

  3. Choose channels

    Select the channels engineer9 should be active in, usually your project or team channels. It only reads the channels you add. See Channels & access.

  4. @mention it

    @engineer9 who owns the auth service?

Give it a few days

On day one, engineer9 knows almost nothing, and that’s expected. It learns by listening to the channels you’ve added, building its memory and a roster of who owns what over the following days. Early on it will often say it doesn’t know something. That’s the honest answer, and it improves quickly as context accumulates.
